It is wih great sadness that members have learnt of the sudden death of Chris Miller.
Chris has been a valuable and respected member of Bruton Art Society for some years. We enjoyed her inspired paintings at the annual exhibition, an event at which she frequently helped. This year Chris again helped with compiling the exhibition catalogue.
For several years we had the benefit of Chris’ important contributions on the committee and on occasions she very kindly hosted parties for new members and Exhibition Helpers when we would be given the freedom of her kitchen and to spread drinks, canapés and goodies in her home in Castle Cary.
Chris was still in charge of running Castle Cary’s flourishing U3A Art Group. We are told how she would circulate, giving advice and encouragement whenever needed to members who could be working in a variety of mediums
Chris will be remembered for her patience, tact and practical approach to problems as well as for her many kindnesses. She was always aware of the needs of others.
How fortunate we were to have known Chris and she will be remembered with much affection.
