Plein Air Watercolour Painting with Gary Cook SGFA
16 – 17 May
Day 1 It was apple blossom time in the orchard outside Hadspen village hall, and after a slide show tutorial the group spent the day outdoors painting under Gary’s guidance.
Day 2 was wet so Gary set large colour prints on the walls and used demonstrations to guide the group with many tips from colour choice to using salt crystals.
He was a sensitive and thoughtful tutor showing the group exactly how to capture the light, as promised. The final show of work was very impressive.
We’re now on Instagram
The Society has just opened an Instagram account and we’ve made a good start with 120 followers within 2 weeks!
We’ve been showing images from our exhibitions and are linking up with many other artists in the region.
Quite a few of our members enjoy using Instagram.
For those who don’t know – Instagram allows artists to get their work seen if they want to share it, but they can also enjoy the work of many other artists – locally, nationally & internationally.
